LANDWEHR L1 Team attend the BZA Employers’ Day for Temporary Employment!

On 22nd and 23rd April, the Bundesverband Deutscher Zeitarbeitsunternehmen, BZA (Federal Association of German Temporary Employment Agencies) held their general meeting for 2008 and arranged an employers’ day in Cologne. The theme was “Tomorrow’s Labour Market”. The event, which took place in the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Cologne was well attended on both days. As the main software service provider of the industry, the LANDWEHR L1 team attended the event with great interest and took the opportunity to conduct constructive conversations during the convention’s breaks.

The main attraction during the general meeting on 22nd April was the elections. With a majority vote, Volker Enkerts was confirmed as President of the BZA.
Subsequently, a new board was elected. These elections had been preceeded by the members’ resolution to make wide-ranging changes to the articles. One of the main concerns was the expansion of the Board. Currently, ten members of the Board can be elected by the members, of which five will form the chairmanship. The election of the chairmen will take place during the constitutional meeting of the new board.

The Employers’ Day on 23rd April was concerned with the issue “Tomorrow’s Labour Market”. Various experts gave presentations relating to this issue, including Dr. Hans-Peter Kloes, IW Cologne and Ferninand Linzenich, Coaching and Communication Expert. Additionally, the visitors were given the opportunity to exchange experiences across a wide range of subjects. The event was rounded up by an exciting discussion named “Minimum Wages and Collective Bargaining Policy in the Temporary Employment Sector. How can this be continued in 2009?“.Detlef Wetzel (Vice Chairman of the TU Metal in Germany), NRW Labour Minister Karl-Josef Laumann, the Chief Executive Officer of the Employers’ Association Metal NRW, Dr. Luitwin Mallmann and Ludger Hinsen (BZA Chief Executive Officer) took part.
